I've seen power and contrl used when it comes to survivor's immigration status, the perpetrator threatens the victim will be deported if they call the police.

I have seen several DV situations where the perpetrator prevented their victim from calling the police with the threat that the survivor would be deported if the police investigated. Add to that the threat of losing rights or access to their children, and it was a very effective means of control.

I have seen power and control used in dv situations where the perpetrator tells the victim if they call the police they will get arrested or deported. They create fear of police in the mind of the victim.
